As a boy, back in the early 1990s, I played - and finished - this splendid RPG. It was the first open-world game I ever played... and it gave the player full freedom to traverse its vast, mystical Norse world, with lands like Jotunheim, Nidavellir, Slaeter's Sea.. and of course, Valhalla. It had an excellent variety of skills, with weapon proficiencies improving you used them - as well as some amazing spell scrolls- notably the scroll of switch bodies that enabled the player to become the most powerful monster in the vicinity (I used to love switching bodies with a draugr). This is a great reminder of how an open-world game should be.
