For those who enjoyed playing Starcraft and want to see its engine used in a fantasy theme, Primitive Wars is all about that.
More than 3 races, lots of structures and units, real-time strategy with RPG mechanics where your characters evolve by hunting dinosaurs or defeating enemies and not only get stronger but also gain new skills. It has a map editor and a campaign mode that I didn't get to explore much.
I want this game on GOG, as it enchanted me the first time I played it. Although it's available on abandonware, I'd like to see the game on this store receive some improvements so that it's better supported on the latest operating systems.

Some would say it's just another StarCraft clone, but for me, it is unique game with interesting approach to four races, story and lore that has potential to become something more, something bigger. It really makes me sad that the sequel or addon or whatever that was wasn't released in Europe. It is a game that stayed with me for my whole life. Thanks to unforgetable characters, - Zellweger, Aesir, Deka and Al'Fathur, I still remember their names after those years - story and design and ofcourse wonderful Polish dubbing I'm often joking arround with my brother who is also a huge fan of this game. The four races, so unique among eachother play differently and have something with them that keeps you from forgeting them. Elves, Demons, Primitives and Tyranos are just very good designed and made overall factions that should be example to some game developers especially in modern era where you have copy of copy of copy and it goes on without any creative approach or thinking. Also one big thing about it it is not for babies, difficulty level is a serious thing and I remember to this day I managed to beat this 8th Elven mission thanks to a lot of cheeseing and time I've spend on it. What achievement for me it was when I was only one who could do it in my surrounding! If any game deserves preservation and maybe in future resuming it is this game.
The best thing in this game is that each faction was totally unique and comparing to Starcraft there was XP system for units which was really awesome and important in overall strategy - to have trained warriors not just spaming the ones that costs most. Elves could be seen as a girlish faction, so I could persuade my sister to play with me those 20 years ago, too bad elves are the hardest to play :D (a lot of skills and spells, unit specializations, weak melee which was mostly rewarded by leveling up) Still the game has normal melee mechanics in comparision for example to WH40K Dawn of War where your units need to finish stiupid animation to deal any damage (still good game with its own flaws) And again, an old game which was really good translated to polish, both in narrative briefings in missions up to voice acting for units.

Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them.
