Simply one of the most beautiful experiences ever made possible in the world of gaming and one that truly proves that video games can be a form of art as well. One thing that is imperative to enjoying the experience fully is knowing as little as possible about the game when starting it. The game also leans heavily on this - it holds your hand as little as possible, piquing your interest, setting up a mystery for you to solve and then allowing you to, almost completely, wander and do as you see fit. Truly, there is no other like it.

Such an amazing experience, journey and narrative, a genuine one-of-a-kind that only the video game medium could produce. A game you can only really play "properly" once, figuring out both the story and your role in it, being the rogue-like element of the game, so once you "beat" it, you've finished the book, ended the film, so on and so forth. Sad, but completely worth playing none-the-less, one of those times you wish you could just forget and go back in blind for the first time again. If any game truly deserves to be preserved by GoG, it's gotta be this one. It's a game everyone should have the right to play at some point in their life.
I hope we get a DRM free version of this. This game is too important to be left on Steam or Epic, plus I cannot stand First-Person Perspective controls on the console versions. An open world innovative indie game, with player exploration at the forefront of it's design, dealing with theme's of death and peace, made by a small team who didn't need alot and knew what they were doing, with the whole thing being at the epicenter example of video games doing what movies and books cannot do, who wouldn't want this in their collection?

Simply a masterclass in game design. A story uncovered by following your curiosity and exploring, piecing together the mystery of this gradually. So satisfying. Soundtrack is iconic.
It's impossible to recreate the feeling of pure wonder and magic that comes from playing your first ever immersive videogame... or so I thought. Then I played Outer Wilds, and for the first time in more than two decades, I felt like a child again. This game changed so many people's lives, including mine. If any game should be preserved, it's this one. And so I humbly offer this quantum poem* to the overlords of preservation in the hope that it may please them: To guide them home I play my song Under this cold starry dome Hope it won't take long (*the lines of a quantum poem should be read in any order)

This is probably one of the best games of the last decade. Every single person who has played it wishes they could forget it to play it again. It's beautiful, mysterious, calming, simple and complex and makes you think and wonder. This game doesn't deserve to suffer DRM.

This is my all-time favorite game. Without getting into too many personal details, the way this game helped me accept my mortality and reframed a near-death experience I had was absolutely life-changing. The peace it has offered me regarding life and death is a price that can never be repaid to the developers. I owe them so much. I would love for this game to be made available on GOG.

After 25 hours of brainstorming puzzles with a little help and hints from reddit, my space adventure has come to an end. Outer Wilds is a game that is difficult to describe and review without spoiling the experience and feeling that the game brings to someone who wants to try it. It's a special experience, which I haven't experienced in all these years of gaming, the game simply radiates something different. The design is unique, the way the story is told is unique, the whole game has its own flair and simply either you will like it so much that it will be one of your favorite games ever played or you will not like it at all, there is no middle ground. One of the special things that Outer Wilds has done fantastically is space and the overall atmosphere that space carries with it. I think this game does a very good job of showing the emotions and thoughts that go through the minds of astronauts once they leave Earth. The moment you are in space and when you decide to step outside the ship for the first time is an unforgettable experience filled with fear and excitement that the cold and dark space brings. It's hard to describe, but you have to experience it, especially if you're a big fan of sci-fi and space in general. What makes Outer Wilds special is the mystery and the world in which the player finds himself. You wake up not knowing where you are or what you are, you only know one thing, and that is that you want to explore space and meet other astronauts who have already gone on journeys. And so the first 22 minutes pass, poof you wake up, not knowing where you are or what you are, you only know one thing, which is that you want to know the universe and talk to your friends. Enjoy every moment that the game brings you because every moment will be a new discovery and a new mystery to overcome.

I've already played this game, but I'd buy it again to have it DRM-free. A masterpiece that does not deserve DRM, the game is too deep to be a game that limits the experience of having it even on a USB PenDrive to pass to your child when he is psychologically old enough to understand its meaning and depth. And it's really ironic, a game that talks about freedom but is sold by limiting the consumer's freedom. I hope to see it on GOG

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
