Another game from my childhood I would love to play again but can't. A very bizarre Disney game that was fun and should be revived so it won't be lost. I would buy this game day 1 and would love to play it on my steam deck on the go. I would be very happy if you bring this back!
The amazing sound track and dark surreal tone of this game was so memorable that I can recall all the levels in detail from when I was last able to play this game as a young child over 25 years ago. Nightmare Ned is a true hidden gem directed by the person that also wrote and directed season 2 of a certain wildly famous under water-based cartoon.
I was terrified of this game as a kid, and haven't been able to mess about with it since then due to a lack of preservation; I need the chance to redeem myself as an adult!
This game was way ahead of its time; with the surreal horror and unique visual style changes, Nightmare Ned could pass off as a modern indie game and be very popular! It's a shame that getting this to work on anything past Windows 98 is next to impossible, so I want to see it return in a format that would let everyone experience the frights.
I remember watching the promo for this game that was included in a Doug VHS I had as a child and it always stuck with me because of how it was presented in the ad and how creepy the visuals are. I would love to get my hands on it and try it out myself.
This was a game from my childhood. I never got to finish it unfortumately, but I was a big fan of the complex puzzles incorperated into each level. There were some scenes, as a kid, that did terrify me.
Oh my gosh, have you ever heard of this one Disney game? It’s like, super dark and intense, and it’s been haunting me ever since I played it. If you ever get a chance to check it out, you’re seriously lucky! I wish I could play it again and let my kids and wife experience it. It’s an absolute masterpiece for such a hidden gem!
The game that snuck into our Windows 95 desktops, and whispered: “Sleep is for the weak.” The levels were just pure ‘90s chaos, including the menus. The animation was peak Disney Interactive, creepy, somewhat cute, and just janky enough. It would be nice to have it on here too.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. Interactive cut-scenes are a large part of the game however the main character never speaks and all dialogue is uncontrolled.
The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game.
