When I bought my first PC in 1998, when I was 15 years old for all the confirmation money I had gotten, I got two games with it; this and Starcraft. I loved the soundtrack, the graphics and the speed. I would love to play the game again. There used to be a Playstation 1 port on Steam, but it's gone, but that one was bad compared to PC version.
The graphics (best graphics for its time!), the music, the cars, the steering... But most of all the vibe and ambience of this game was second to none. It felt like Blade Runner but in a racing game. Such a shame that on Steam you could only get the PS1 version which needless to say was inferior to the awesome PC version. For this game, if it was restored to its original level I would easily and without hesitation pay 50-60 euros. So go ahead GOG, you would add a fantastic game to your racing games library and make a lot of people happy.

Motorhead for PC is a true nostalgic gem that perfectly captures the spirit of '90s gaming. The game’s vibrant 3D graphics were groundbreaking for its time, offering detailed textures, dynamic lighting, and a sense of depth that made each race feel fast and immersive. What really made Motorhead unforgettable, though, was its killer soundtrack and ambience. The game’s tracks, set in urban landscapes, deserts, and coastal regions, had a distinctly futuristic feel, with towering structures, glowing lights, and innovative details like passing trains and zeppelins that added to the immersive experience. The dynamic lighting and reflections were ahead of their time, enhancing the sense of speed and creating a vibrant, almost otherworldly environment. Paired with a techno and trance soundtrack, Motorhead captured the essence of a fast-paced, futuristic world where racing wasn't just about competition, it was about experiencing a thrilling, futuristic dream. The game remains a nostalgic favorite for many, transporting players back to a time when gaming was full of fresh, exciting experiences.

Można zmieniać kolory aut i znacznika w wyścigu. Brak tuningu (osiągów i wizualnego), a mimo to świetnie się przy tym bawiłem i bawię nadal, choć grę przeszedłem kilka razy. Grafika się zesstarzała, nowi mogą się w tym nie odnaleźć.
They used to have the demo for this game on one of the computers back when I was in Kindergarten, which I remember playing a lot back then. I remembered those fond memories years later but it took me ages to figure out what the game was even called. Sad to see that it's so difficult to find these days, I'd love to see it made available again.
Very awesome racing game for people that like a good sense of speed. The physics are decent, the music is awesome. I will also praise the AI for being still good even today. The graphics were very ahead of their time, especially for SW rendering, and I think they still hold well when compared with other games of the time. It is the first "real" racing game I recall playing, where physics mattered and it wasn't some arcade drifting/sliding thing. While one can emulate or play the PS1 version in real hardware, the frame rate is reduced to 30FPS or 60 with a limit of 3 AI opponents. That makes the PC version the best version of this game, if you are playing alone. IIRC, the PS1 version has split screen, while this one allowed two PCs to play together with one CD only. Currently abandonware, it runs but requires dgVoodoo2 and Win95 compat mode to install. Please bring this back.
This was the game that you'd install if you wanted to impress anyone with your newly acquired 3D graphics card/PC. They still hold up today, and can be used with modern screen resolutions and ratios after some fiddling. If I'm not mistaken, I got a copy bundled with my 3Dfx Voodoo II, or maybe with my Microsoft Sidewinder FF Wheel. I got both at around the same time, back in 1998. The main reason for wanting a GOG release was to be able to play it in modern PCs while enjoying the great soundtrack. Please make it happen!

One of the most memorable racers from my childhood - super arcade'y and casual, but with a one of a kind personality at the same time. I'm a sweatlord in games but in this one I always really appreciated it's arcade'y flow. Oh and the soundtrack.... absolute MASTERPIECE of a soundtrack by Olof Gustafsson. Definitely one of those oldschool racers that deserves a comeback.

Moje pierwsze wyścigi na pierwszym własnym komputerze. Dodatkowo z tą grą zaczął się mój kontakt z czasopismem CD-Action. Fajnie by było mieć tę produkcję na swojej półce na gog'u

Need for Speed: Underground 2
Need for Speed: Underground 2Need For Speed Underground 2 takes place in Bayview after the events of Need for Speed: Underground. The prologue begins with the player driving in a Nissan Skyline R34 in Olympic City (though the racing scenes are actually in Bayview), the setting of NFS:UG. He then receives a race challenge from a rather ominous personality who offers him a spot on his crew, but "won't take 'no' for an answer." The player races off — despite Samantha's warnings — only to be ambushed by a mysterious driver in a rage that totals his Skyline. The driver, who has a unique scythe tattoo, makes a call confirming the accident, and the flashback fades out.
