First game was my top favourite roguelike deckbuilder. Easy to learn, hard to master, one run is just long enough that defeats don't sting as much and you'll be ready for more, lots of fun combos to either challenge yourself or go absolutely nuts, coupled with a setting I'm eager to see expanded in the sequel.
First one was a great game, well designed in terms of mechanics, I don't want to buy it on steam or anything on steam frankly because I'm tired of F@$% companies selling digital items they can yank at any point and then use corporate contract law as a shield to justify their actions for doing so. It's nonsense, if you buy something you should get the rights to own that game out right. I'd prefer to purchase this at GOG and I refuse to buy it at steam I actually own copies of Monster Train, one on Steam and one on GOG but won't be buying monstertrain 2 until it's on GOG.
Monster Train 2 is one of my favorite deckbuilders of all time, with a fantastic art style and wacky units and characters, absolutely busted combos that makes you feel like a genius when you manage to get to a point where you can just steamroll enemies. One of my most fun moments in the game was when i discovered a really strong combo in the mushroom clan, Underlegion, and managed to make a Funguy stack with 2025 health. The fact that you can break the game like that with the right strategy is so fun to me.
It's such a wonderful game that, after the absolute joy that was the first game, has cemented this series' place in my heart as some of my most beloved games of all time, and I cant wait to see what Shiny Shoe does next.

Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions.
