Story:Minecraft focuses on allowing the player to explore, interact with, and modify a dynamically generated map made of one-cubic-meter-sized blocks. In addition to blocks, the environment features plants, mobs, and items. Some activities in the game include mining for ore, fighting hostile mobs, and crafting new blocks and tools by gathering various resources found in the game. The game's open-ended model allows players to create structures, creations, and artwork on various multiplayer servers or their single-player maps. Other features include redstone circuits for logic computations and remote actions, minecarts and tracks, and a mysterious underworld called the Nether. A designated but completely optional goal of the game is to travel to a dimension called the End, and defeat the ender dragon.Show more
I don't see this becoming very likely (that it would be released on here) but I'd love if GOG could preserve the original Minecraft, it's Java version. The one that built minecraft, the one that I grew to love. Bedrock is so much more locked down and we all totally remember when they were trying to move us all to Bedrock to force us to play a more in-game purchases model and mod-free model. The current owners always seemed to dislike the communities ability to add mods, yet they themselves seem to have added updates that feel a lot more like bloated mods than official updates. My favourite versions of minecraft were released before the aquatic update, specifically version 1.11.1. I miss the days before it go super popular. Before the current devs of the game wanted to get rid of allowing us to officially play any update we want, to force us to play the newest version (which I dislike by the way and don't wish to play). If GOG preserved the original Minecraft and heritage versions of the game, I would be ecstatic and massively relieved knowing the current devs couldn't just take it away from us like they have tried to do many times now. I don't love where they have taken the game and have attempted to give feedback for updates but they seem to ignore all but a small part of the community. Reminds me of how the Runescape community had to fight to get Old skool runescape back.... I love how we can add or remove mods or play vanilla or play any official version we want, that's a lot of what the Minecraft community was originally built on and it's a shame to see it shunned and tossed aside for the most part by many of the modern day devs. It's sad to see mechanics being updated and broken, in my opinion. It would be such a relief to have permanent access to the game I have so many fond memories of, playing with a couple of friends in before the devs purge Minecraft Java permanently. Bedrock is okay but I much prefer the Java version, the one that started it all.
This game is my number one favorite game. I would LOVE to see this game make it here on GOG. Just the java version. I don't play on servers for this game because I don't see the point in it. Every time a new version comes out, they want to start a new world and most of us never get to finish our builds and starting over so much isn't fun. I mostly play single player and LAN so I can play with people I know in person. The reason this game is my number one is because it's your world. You can build anything you want and where I also have mods for my world, my imagination just explodes with so many ideas. It's like this game doesn't have an ending to it at all, despite defeating the End Dragon which technically is the end but I don't see it that way. If this game does make it here to GOG (which I'm praying hard that it does), since the game has different versions, it can come with it's own launcher that doesn't need internet so you can select what version you want to play, depending on the time you bought the game, pretty much like other games with updates, you can just use GOG Galaxy to update. The launcher can also be a place where you can make your username. I just don't see the point of having all this locked down stuff on a game that only requires Java because Java is everywhere. Bedrock sucks to me, it doesn't feel like Minecraft. Java is the only one I play. I tried bedrock when it first came out and turn it down 15 mins later. Never got back on it. Java FTW! Sorry for my ongoing rant, I just really really hope this makes it to GOG as it's my #1 favorite game of all times. I'm quitting my Steam because GOG has all my games here. I wanna own my games and GOG is just what I was looking for. I'm just waiting for Minecraft and one other game. Just wish I heard about GOG eariler...
my dad bought minecraft bedrock off playstore whrn i was like 9. i really loved the game. but as time past i got a pc. i rememberred minecraft and decided to play minecradt java knoeing that it would be free of cost cus i have bought bedrock. turned out, microsoft decided to remove my purchase of minecraft entirely with no reasoning.
i really want to play the game online again(not cracked). a friend of mine told me of this site. i hope this works

Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control.
