I got this game in a bargain bin back when I was 7. It might not be one of the best games out there but it definitely has its charm. I'd like to see more people get interested in the way this game works, I have such fond memories of this game. It's purely nostalgia talking, as the adventurers can get annoying at times with their needs but I still find the charm this game has to offer worth it.
When I was a kid clicking on all the buildings would get a laugh out of me. Never beat anything past the first level, and the CD doesn't really work anymore.
Now I know it's basically a lowcost version of Majesty, but back then it was my favourite game straight till 2018, so for about 14 years.
I loved watching my little guys and girls getting stronger, buying themselves new gear, resting and chatting. They were my little team, and I was very proud watching them succeed. And even though I myself never made it past second map, my little sister did, and she also loved this game very much. I've tried Majesty by now, but Medieval Conquest is still in my heart and as this is my childhood game, I prefer it over any other of similar kind. Hope to play it legally again some day.
I acquired Medieval Conquest by chance through a weekly gaming magazine, which I remember as a child being an exciting surprise. I spent countless hours playing it back in the day, and though it was quite challenging, I never quite made it past the first level. Despite this, the game left a strong sentimental mark on me.
The game itself was tough, with mechanics that required both patience and skill, and I vividly remember struggling to overcome even the first few obstacles. However, as the years passed, the desire to revisit the game has only grown. I'd love to try playing it again now, to see if my older self could finally conquer that elusive first level.
If you're someone who enjoys a challenge or has fond memories of playing retro games, Medieval Conquest is definitely worth trying again. I'm curious to see if my skills have improved enough to finally complete that first level – something I could never quite manage as a kid.

Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger.
