MadWorld (2009)

by PlatinumGames, Sega Europe, Sega of America, Spike
Genres:Hack and slash/Beat 'em up
Themes:Action, Horror, Sandbox
Game modes:Single player
Story:"MadWorld is a unique action game experience with two signature characteristics: An eye-catching, monochromatic visual style that’s yet to be matched; and sense-shattering, bone-shredding violence. Experience a unique blend of brutality, humor and madness in a graphic novel-style world that’s black and white and blood-red all over. In sharp contrast to what you’ve come to expect on the Wii, MadWorld was available in American and European markets almost a full year before it was finally allowed in Japan."Show more

This is my favorite game of all time. I literally would have my life fulfilled if this got a PC port. It's gotten me through the absolute worst times of my life even if noone really talks about it these days. Jack Cayman my beloved forever and ever.
MadWorld was a fun time, a gem on the Wii. Stunning artstyle, fun gameplay, the works. More people should experience it but how would a PC port work, considering the emphasis on motion controls? The mechanics would need restructuring.
This game and Anarchy Reigns really deserved better, it pains me that it's so forgotten. There's no other games whee the ost is only rap from the most underground of artists, nor are there any where the entire thing is in black and white. I need this game to escape the Wii and for SEGA to acknowledge it.
Why MadWorld Needs to Be on GOG – A Cult Classic with Killer Soundtrack and Style MadWorld is one of the boldest, most stylish action games ever made, and it absolutely deserves a spot on GOG. Originally released for the Wii in 2009, it combined over-the-top violence with slick black-and-white comic book visuals, a thumping hip-hop soundtrack, and fluid, brutal gameplay that made it stand out from anything else on the market. Developed by PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising), MadWorld throws you into a dystopian game show where survival means being the most creative killer in the arena. You play as Jack Cayman, a chainsaw-wielding antihero whose every move bleeds style and aggression. Whether you're slamming enemies into spike walls or turning everyday objects into deadly weapons, the combat is fast, satisfying, and endlessly entertaining. But what really elevates MadWorld is its soundtrack. With original rap and hip-hop tracks from artists like Ox, Sick YG, and Bandy Leggz, the music energizes every moment, blending perfectly with the chaos on screen. It's one of the most underrated game soundtracks ever — raw, loud, and unforgettable. Bringing MadWorld to GOG would not only help preserve this cult classic, but also introduce it to a new generation of PC gamers who missed out the first time. With no DRM and full controller support, MadWorld could finally get the second life it deserves on a platform built for game lovers. Stylish, violent, and cool as hell — it’s time for Jack to chainsaw his way onto GOG.
MadWorld is incredibly fun, and it being marooned on Wii should be a crime. The unique art style, humor, and bloody executions haven't been replicated in any game that has come after its release. MadWorld deserves a 2nd chance at life on PC.
