I never played the other Just Cause games but I found this to be a tonne of fun simply because you can fight with a resistance against a dictator and blow a bunch of their stuff up. You can also drive around, cause havoc and flight around or just use the grapple. I don't think every game suits a grapple but for this game it can come in handy. I find myself using the parachute more than the grapple though. I use the grapple for climbing as the main character can't climb on his own seemingly. Good for a casual session and there are many weapons you can use as well. I would love to preserve this game on here. I have so much fun. Definitely more fun with a controller as the controlls weren't designed to be complex :)
I played the heck out of this game in 2016 all the way up to 2019 only reason I stopped playing is because I had the disk but the console I had was diskless. But this game was so much fun. I would spend hours just gliding having a friggin blast.

I just bought it on Steam, and I'd love to have a DRM free copy of this, I'm playing through it and I went check to see if it was on GOG. The game is just fun, I've owned it for two consoles, and I would definitely buy it again if GOG added it to the store, just to have a copy that I own.
I loved Just Cause 2 and its destruction mechanics; I also have memories of playing JC2's Multiplayer Mod and some (primitive) single player mods. I was getting hyped for Just Cause 3 but as soon as I found out it had Denuvo I cancelled my pre-order. I still followed the wikis and news of Just Cause 3, there are plenty of additions and easter eggs that I look forward to.
If you were to ask me "What Just Cause Game is the best in my opinion?", I would say Just Cause 3 1,000 times over. JC3 is the best Open-world Action game I've ever played during my Middle School days. When I saw the first few cinematic and gameplay trailers, I knew I couldn't miss out on it. Once I had my hands on it, I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. The Visuals, Characters, Action-packed Set pieces, the beautiful open world of Medici, the gameplay, the levels of destruction and how you could go about it was great. It really made you feel like the protagonist of a Michael Bay Action movie. I'll always remember dicking around in the game and just destroying a lot of stuff, ESPECIALLY THE BRIDGES. While the story isn't groundbreaking, It and the characters were entertaining to watch and Rico will always be my favorite protagonist. Sadly I never completed the game and my Xbox physical copy has trouble installing. I would love this game to also come to GOG so it can join JC1 & 2 in my library.

As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control.
