It's one of the best game ever made. The world, the possibilities... I used to spend hours every week-end with my best friends playing HOMM3 on hot seat and have a blast! The maps and scenarios creator was really good and easy to use. With a timeless artstyle it will live on forever.

This isn't a story as I just wanted to mention that his game is already on GOG. So I'm not really sure as to what can be done about this post. Either the author or someone else from GOG might have to hide this to simplify the list of games that people want to have so that it does not include copies. No offense to the author of course :)
hands down one of my favorite of heroes might and magic game i ever played when i was a kid. the game that lets you play hotseat was a very unique game where you could play with 4 players but on one computer was great when i was a kid i didn't have to fight over the computer and enjoyed the story. it was very unique in combat which i automatically fell in love with and like the other series i did too down the line but i didn't like the last two heroes game that came out and was pretty disheartening but thats for another story to tell. anyways the characters you get to play and build your army the way you wanted it to be was fantastic and also loved certain champions you get to play that allows you to give your troops certain buffs and later down the line get better perks as you lvl up later. i still randomly play this game on my computer now since i own all the heroes game and the third never dissapointed me. 10/10 would recommend heroes 3 and what not.

Overlords were my go-to hero as they had Black Dragons, Troglodytes, Minotaurs, and Harpies. That Harpy attacks didn't trigger enemy retaliation made them great for hit-and-run on T3 units and below.

This game is a gem! After discovering the second one as a kid, I've been playing the 3 since its release in 1999. The ability to add new factions and the balancing improvements brought by the unofficial (and free) expansion Horn of the Abyss further enhance its already endless replayability. The map editor also allows you to create your own adventures and share them. I just spent the last five years creating a map inspired by Jules Verne's novel "The Mysterious Island". In less than a month, I received over 1,000 reactions and my map was downloaded more than 2,000 times — this community is amazing! Long live Heroes III! Papyjama

My favorite game of all times. I was playing the series since HoMM I, and even it's predecessor (King's Bounty) - they got me through the hard years of school, being there for me when people weren't.

I like it all — unique addictive gameplay, beautifully designed factions, etc. — but to me it’s mainly about the music. Every piece is memorable, *even the song for when you have to wait for your turn*!

A true classic of the turn based strategy genre. Even to this day it has an extremely large and passionate playerbase with tons of interesting mod support. Overall what I would consider the near peak of the genre. Which is surprising since it came out 26 years ago
I still play this game. Almost 30 years later. And there is still surprises. Unknowns. Challenges. Endlessly replayable with an amazing community and artists surrounding it.
