I've been following the development of Heavy Hearts since almost its inception. It's a very passionate and unique project that tries to marry adult interests and true 16-bit gameplay from a past era. Its Early Access got recently rejected by Steam. The dev also broke the news that NSFW games are no longer allowed on Steam. I hope and wish for Heavy Hearts to be added to gog.com as a game.
This is a very special erotic RPG that focuses on being a story-rich RPG FIRST, and an erotic game... Also first. What makes it really special is that it goes beyond a Renpy clicker or RPGM asset flip -- It's a true to form RPG built from the ground up, with fantastic custom art and scenes. You won't find another game like it.
I have supported and played many different erotic games. This has been easily one that is a cut above the rest. Most are just RPG maker, scene finders or permanent “development hell” this has a story to tell while actually incorporating the erotic aspect well. I would easily recommend this to anyone who would be interested as an eroge above many others. The devs and artist: actually have a track record of substantial updates and genuinely wants to improve and make a great game and in my opining they have achieved that but are still pursuing it to be better
I got into adult games by finding some on itch. And I never thought I would pay for a game. Till I came across heavy hearts and I actually saw an adult game that took time and effort into its combat system and world. Joined the discord, and got to know the developer a little bit and community. Tossed some ideas for the story and such, and he took one of my suggestions. (I won’t say what) and after that point I offered to help him with the discord as a moderator. Been a proud member of the heavy hearts community ever since. DB has put his heart and soul into this game, and I want to see him succeed. So I hope the game finds a home on GOG.
I bought this game one day, just thinking it was your average Fantasy game, I played through the story and i really enjoy both the sound track and the map and the story!
Once I started getting Into DnD, I started watching a Content Creator Known as TieflingMelissa, after a few Months I heard through TieflingMelissa, that the Devs had added her, her Friend Yu’Hiss, and Perry to the game, and that alone has me constantly coming back and checking for newer updates/releases.
I’m still just in shock that My Oshi was added to the game and that the devs also like her- it makes me check for updates way more frequently
Independent game makers deserve a fair shot, especially adult games. Adult games have been getting an extremely bad rep due to a few knuckleheads that Steam never bothered to check which grifters feasted on. Please add Heavy Hearts and other games from this team.
Theyve been working really hard on this for years and owing to recent censorship debacle, itd be nice to have a stable place for it to exist without fear of delisting again.
This game has been shaping up to be fantastic! It deserves a chance without any bs censorship attempts from outside. It’s been great chatting with the creator and watching the game evolve. I want him to be able and encouraged to do more.
