It was my favorite game of my childhood, but I don't think I have cleared this game to this day. One day I will. I'm not sure why exactly I loved it - it was probably all the action in this game, because I definitely didn't know the puzzles. The experimenting with all the levers and discovering different path was also really cool

The PC DOS (1991) version of this game was the first port I played - ah memories! A great game that has everything you need: cool graphics, neat soundtrack and gameplay that is challenging without being too hard so that you keep coming back to play it. Once you got used to the janky inventory system (you don't just pick up an item and that's it, you have to pick it up and then move the selected item slot highlight to a blank one, otherwise the object you pick up will drop back onto the floor immediately) you were away. Great graphics, playability and presentation make for another Bitmap Bros classic well worth your time. I am surprised this game hasn't had more votes as it is easily on par with their best game, The Chaos Engine. Anyway, if GOG do add it to their roster one day (PLEASE!) it doesn't take much to get it working in DosBox. Either that, or they could somehow wrangle getting the GODS Remastered version by Robot Riot onto GOG? It is no longer available on Steam.

After Remastered was delisted on Steam, I wondered if Robot Riot's remake would be more at home on GOG alongside other Bitmap Brothers classics like Chaos Engine. Moreover, I was surprised even the original wasn't on here to begin with. This game has become increasingly difficult to play in current day without owning a physical copy, and for as brutally difficult as it can get, it definitely deserves to be experienced. That being said, the delisting of Remastered is due to licensing agreements, so this might be more complicated, but still. It's a rough as nails classic.
Enjoyed playing this game back in the early 90's. The emulated (Mega-Drive) version is way too fast paced which makes it harder to play. They had brought out a remastered version of this on steam at least a year ago but it's now been de-listed, to be released on other platforms and mobile. Proof why we need ports to be preserved on GOG, even when re-releases aren't even safe anymore.
This game was important in my youth because was one of the first games that i play on a pc and was a ground breaking platform game in all aspects back in that day. Great story, great graphics and nice unforgettable intro music. I'd love to play it again.
This game is a true masterpiece, Bitmap Brothers at their best. The title music "Into the Wonderful" is great, for some reason strongly protected. It has to be removed from youtube videos (only Amiga version, other versions have different music). It has an insane amount of secrets, for some you need to hit switches in the right order, for others you need to get through a level section quickly, others require you to let a thief live for a while longer, so he will snatch a key for you from an area you can't get to. Others won't unlock if you do things in a certain order. You can play this game over and over again and discover something new every time. Fun nerd info: Many people complained that it was too difficult, but that was actually part of their copy protection. If you used a hacked copy and the game would notice, you could still play it, but it became a lot harder. When custompers complained at the publishers support hotline about the difficulty, they asked to send them the disks so they could check them. It's easy enough to say that they rarely got any. Theres a SNES version, but it plays faster than the original, they added additional ingame music as well. But the awesome title theme was changed. The PC version was ok, but it's outdated these days (and music and sound are as bad as any music back then was compared to the Amiga). The remaster from a couple of years ago wasn't very good and had to be removed due to licencing problems. So ... please GOg, go and get us the Amiga version. It should be possible, since Blaze Entertainment also released the Amiga game in September 2024 on the Bitmap Brothers Collection #2 cartridge for their Evercade system.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur MachtXenosaga: Episode I - Der Wille zur Macht, the first chapter of a trilogy, is a Japanese-style sci-fi role-playing game, sharing many common themes and gameplay elements with Xenogears. The battle system is not unlike the one used in Xenogears (combo attacks, AP and EP gauges, etc.), but random encounters are eliminated. Instead, the enemies are now visible and battles can be avoided. During combat the few upcoming ally and enemy turns are shown onscreen, allowing the player to make strategic decisions based on who will act next. A rolling slot moves with each turn as well, conferring a bonus such as added damage or bonus XP for any action on that turn. If the enemy would be in position to take an advantage then the player can expend a character's "boost" gauge to cut in and act next, although enemies can boost as well, and enemy boosts always over-ride player boosts. Each character has a unique tree of Ether spells they can learn by spending Ether points earned in battle, with lower spells requiring spells above them to be purchased first. After a spell is purchased, so long is it does not require a unique talent of that character, the spell can also be purchased and learned by any other character that can afford double its normal cost. The Anti-Gnosis Weapon Systems can be equipped with different weapons and accessories and can be used in combat provided that a character has enough AP on that turn to board their AGWS.

Resident Evil Survivor
Resident Evil SurvivorResident Evil Survivor is the first Resident Evil title to be rendered in real time as opposed to making use of pre-rendered backdrops. Levels are explored in first person, and when enemies are encountered the press of a button will bring up a targeting reticle for shooting. As with most light-gun games there is infinite pistol ammunition available, but limited ammunition for more powerful weapons. At the end of each level two doors are presented which both lead to different levels, although all paths eventually lead to the same ending.
