Gantz: The Game
Gantz is a manga and anime series with an intense, dark sci-fi world—perfect material for a game adaptation. While I haven’t played much of the game myself, one standout feature is its death mechanic, which closely mirrors the source material.
Instead of a typical “game over,” when your character dies, the mysterious Gantz sphere can revive you—just like in the series. However, you only get a limited number of revives, and once those run out, dying again means permanent death and the end of the game. This mechanic adds real tension and stakes, capturing the deadly, high-risk missions that make Gantz so gripping.
Though this game has never been widely available, especially outside Japan, it would be amazing to see it restored or re-released so more fans can experience this hidden gem.
