My older brother showed me this game when we got our first computer. He got this from a store where you could rent games for a few days. He showed me the game mechanics, it was a great time together. Some day the store closed and sold all their games for a few bucks. I finally got it for 2 Euros then. Finally i could play it so much more, it was so cool.

It is one of those games that sticks with you long after you’ve played it. For me, it was one of the first games I ever got into, and I ended up spending countless hours in its world. I mostly played solo, and even though the game doesn’t have the multiplayer aspect that some others might, it didn’t need it. The whole experience was immersive enough to make me feel like I was a part of the story, running my own criminal empire.

why have thisone not been relast yet? It´s way better the the first game, and I still play it often orginal. with some tweaks and twits ´^^ it just not making sence to me that this one has not been released at the same time with the first game. so many memories, so much fun doing drive by shootings, and then your car blows up with you inside of it. xD should have been released with the other game... just waiting to buy it.

This is one of my favorite strategy games which I keep replaying every couple of years. Unfortunately inner plastic circle of CD has been developing multiple cracks and it may not survive many more installs, so I'm begging: GOG, please save this hidden gem! This game is set in a fictional province during prohibition era, where you run your little crime empire. You can buy property, run illegal businesses such brewery, speakeasy, counterfeit press, etc. You can also hire gangsters from the local newspaper, recruit bodyguards, equip them with Tommy guns and let loose on your rivals, doing drive-by's, seizing territory, robing banks, bribing or kidnapping city officials and so on. While this game lacks strategical depth of it's predecessor (Gangster: Original Crime), it vastly improves combat, introduces lengthy and challenging campaign, nicer visuals with very distinct style, and also has enjoyable sound design, music and CGI clips. Unlike in predecessor there's no weekly planning phase where you give orders for the whole week and then watch events playing out with little input. Instead game plays out in real-time but you can pause at any time, look around the map, assess the situation and give orders to your cronies. It encourages micro management of your gangsters because if they survive during mission, they can level up and improve their skills making them even more effective at shooting, driving, robbing or running businesses. There's also more emphasis on story and every mission has different tasks or multiple win conditions, so missions don't get boring. This is very niche but enjoyable game for those who love books, movies, aesthetic and general vibes of prohibition era. It's very evident that original developers have put a lot of love and care into this game with nice touches such as dynamic newspaper headlines and obituaries based on in-game events, or NPC's traveling around town, which serves little gameplay purpose but immerses you into the game world.

the first time I had played this game before in 2001 I was only 8 years old on that year and it was only in trial version ( Demo ) and I download it from CD blank which is came with some Video Games Magazine called ( Computer Games World ) and the magazine was on Arabic version called ( عالم الالعاب ) . and it was joyful when I repeat the same level every day in demo that make me do something like planning before attack like that and when I see Franky Hammer poster said To Be Continues make me laugh that's mean my turn end and that's the begin of my big brother turn😁. I want to see it again on GOG company to play it on multiplayer ( online or network ) because I already complete this Game story and I wish to repeat it again and play on ( network or social ( online ) ) 😀.
This game is not necessarily well balanced or... well, really that 'good' old game, but by Capone's scarred mug it was a real banger in multiplayer with the lads! The campaign was very difficult even when you knew what to do, the strict time limits caused stress, and the AI was... not very smart... Still, I would love to have a chance to replay this janky gangster game again. It really nailed the era and you felt like a gangster, ok?
Those games also need your vote!

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Dune

Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.

Dune 2000
Dune 2000Real-time strategy taking place in Frank Herbert's "Dune" universe. The game is a remake of a classic RTS game "Dune 2". Player can play as a commander of one of three different factions: Harkonnen, Atreides or Ordos. Do you like the feeling you get when you have won over someone? If it was something that we had really worked hard, then the fell of victory is something precious and incalculable. The game Dune 2000 could help in giving your competitive spirit a new edge. It is an updated version of the Dune II. In this game the player would have to fight for an interesting thing; the control of the spices in the galaxy. The spices control could make you the most powerful there. The player has to choose to be one of the three houses first: Atreides, Harkonnen, or Ordos. Each house has its own vice and virtue and the right selection could give the player right start to the game but he could learn as well as, later in the game with time. Once you choose a side, you to win the King’s challenge of producing the most amount of spice. It won’t be as easy as it sounds. For getting the control of the spices, the player has to fight over the other two houses by all means. Dune 2000 is done with enough of stunt and live-in scenes to pep up the theme and there is a soothing sound score to add to the overall theme. It’s a game based on the Dune series book of Frank Herbert and gives the player a real pleasure of both combat and competition.
