One day, a friend of mine, who was an avid gamer and owned a ton of NES games (this was in 1990), introduced me to this amazing game. It was simple, didn't really have a deep story, had a workaround save mechanic, etc. But I was still in love with this game. I played it a LOT. As I got older, the franchise name stuck with me and I played all of them. My love for Final Fantasy started with such a simple, and yet fun game. They hit the nail on the head with this game and created one of my all-time favorite franchises.
