One of my all time favorite games! It has such a captivating atmosphere, through its sound design, and especially thanks to Bertrand Eluerd's score! The music is something I keep coming back to, every now and then. The graphics, while very simple, do manage to give its own unique style and character. It has the kind of story that a child would come up with. But, that's a good thing. Because it is quite charmful. As it has been said, the game is kind of like American McGee's Alice, or resembles movies of Tim
Burton's or even Jean Pierre Jeunet's (The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen). While the gameplay does lack polish (and that's putting it mildly), it hasn't stopped me from beating it on PC and, later on, on PS2. The game is more remembered on the Dreamcast, and is considered as a hidden gem, over on that system. Not many people mention its PC or PS2 versions. Even though I already own it in physical format for the PC and PS2, I would love to get this game on GoG!
