Grizzly and brutal RTS from Germany. The Heroes feel like heroes, but they are not unstoppable and will get overwhelmed if you don't manage them properly. No base building, just predetermined units you are tasked with keeping alive through the campaign, if you can that is. The physics of catapults/cannons leaving craters in the earth and collapsing buidlings/walls was unlike most other RTS I can recall. The spells and animations for them were also nicer than most, for 2000-2002. The world building and voice acting really helped capture the dark and gloomy atmosphere.
