This game was the reason why i became interested with tabletop games. i played it as a teenager and was blown away. The army management, the mix of grand battles and small party dungeon missions, the decissions you made in the campaign that alter it's course, the hero units and spells. It all came together in a way i have not experienced before. I even remember how you could set certain terrains like grassland on fire and it wasn't only for opticals. It effected untis trying to walk through it.
After playing Demonworld it send me on my wonderous and ongoing path in the world of strategic tabletop games. Nearly 30 years of hobby enthusiasm started with playing this game.
I know this is mostly Nostalgia but it was a great game and i miss those fun, simplistic games in our current time. Would love to get a working copy of this!
