Rock and Stone like there's no tomorrow!
A game that can be played solo with your trusty and modifiable robot Bosco or cooperatively with up to 3 other players through peer-to-peer multiplayer games. It packs fun, memes and good gameplay. My close friend, who's a veteran in this game, introduced me to it recently, and it is incredibly fun.
The game offers variety in many ways. Most need to be unlocked as you progress.
• Four selectable classes.
• Equipment consists of one primary weapon (choice of 3), one secondary weapon (choice of 3), two utility tools, the armour undersuit, one stack of throwables (choice of 4).
• All equipment but the throwables come with up to 5 tiers with up to 3 modifications each. Primary and secondary weapons additionally have so-called overclocks which potentially change their functionality completely.
• 9 mission types in 10 different biomes (areas) in 5+ different hazard levels (difficulties) paired with possible random modifiers (can be seen before selecting the mission).
• A sizable amount of small, medium, and big enemies. You might even end up with (usually optional) special encounters and bosses outside of mission specific ones.
• Maps are mostly procedurally generated.
• Lots and lots and lots of cosmetics.
Not to be ignored should be the quite detailed in-game manual (Miner's Manual), the *official* wiki (hosted at wiki.gg), and that it is already DRM free. Only peeling off the Steam or Microsoft files would be left.
A wish would be a LAN mode to be added, though.
It would be great if the game would make it to GOG, at the very least once the developers release their final update.
In the event of the latter, it shall make into the preservation programme too.
For Karl!
