In a lot of ways, Crimson Desert feels like this year's Clair Obscur in the making. Not that the games are necessarily that similar in terms of aesthetic or even gameplay mechanics, but it's got all the markings of an RPG that comes out of nowhere and delivers a shockingly good experience. We need more RPGs like this that aim to offer a highly-polished, distinctive vision... sans the creative interference of a large publisher.
But, of course, the game isn't out for another month, so who knows? Either way, I hope GOG's putting in the time to secure this one.
