A nice little adventure game along the lines of Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes series, but with an unseen, silent protagonist.
This is one of the few video games I ever played with my father. He's not very good at video games, and back then I wasn't much better, but somehow we made it to the end.
I don't have much memory of the plot, but I remember that it involved some rare or famous jewels. I remember bits and pieces of the setting, which I presume was either late Victorian or early 20th Century. It may have been around the 1920s since it put me in mind of the kind of settings used in ITV's Poirot.
Early on the player must investigate a safe, the contents of which have seemingly been stolen. Later on, a character asks the player to perform hypnosis by swinging a watch back and forth with the mouse (which I remember took a lot of effort to get right).
But most of all, I remember a particularly awkward character called Sabata. Once you've exhausted all his conversation branches, all he has to say is "Bah!", in the most ridiculous fashion. (As a child, I thought that was hilarious!)
