Maybe the licence for this is what made it a bit more "special" than other third-person shooters of the time (and there were lots and lots of them back in the day) but it had a good mixture of guns, hand to hand combat and set-pieces.
One stand-out moment was driving an industrial dumper truck that was the size of a small building and just ploughing (quite literally) through the streets of Thailand (I think?) in pursuit of the villain. There were also car chase sequences that were fast and furious, so you had that big block-buster feeling when playing it, that befitted being James Bond.
As far as the gun-play went, it was a snappy cover shooter with decent controls and action. If it just had that element alone then it wouldn't compare especially favourably to the likes of Gears Of War that released at the same time, but there were other diversions that broke up the repetition.
It would be great to be able to play this again without forking out hundreds of pounds for it, as whilst I do remember it fondly...uh....well, not that fondly ;)
