I played this a ton growing up. I got it in the discount bin section at Walmart during Christmas and had an absolute blast. It is one of my favorite RTSs from the early 2000s and deserves to be remembered.
Axis & Allies has been my childhood game since I was in 3rd (or forth) Grade. Played it over at least +2000 hours or more. Played the game in a very basic manner, didn't use or understand most mechanics and always used cheats. When I was in high school, I began to play the game more seriously, like no longer using cheats and using the supply line mechanic as intended. (My god do I love the supply mechanic in this game!) Once I got a new laptop around 2023, Axis & Allies couldn’t run on Windows 11, and there was no help online to get it to work. I eventually gave up, believing my confort game was unplayable on modern hardware. Fortunately, last week I was able to get the game running by changing the display mode to integrated graphics in order to run on Windows 11. Game worked fine and made me happy. However, I had to play on a low resolution as the higher resolutions missed up the fonts. If GOG could sell the game again and make patches for it, It would be amazing if this game get played by today's RTS players!

I remember seeing this game on Youtube and immediately knew that I'd love it, and I was right. What was really enjoyable about it was that I could create armies of tanks and just plow through missions. The missions themselves were really unique too. From the battles on Europe's beaches, to cold winters in Russia, to the island hopping in the Pacific theater. They also had an option where you could play as the Axis and it would take on an alternate history tilt which I thought was really cool as well. I genuinely hope that GOG adds the game here because the original is in 32 bits which makes it unplayable unfortunately. I will buy it the first chance I get if they do.
I along with the games like mech commander 2, and railroad tycoon 3 remember playing this gave very fondly as a kid. still do. sometimes even having the main menu just sit and watch as the tanks and troops and planes flying over head with the menu music playing was soothing and the gameplay was absolutely awesome. would love to see this gem of a game make a return on gog.

I played this for hours when this came out. I still have the install disks. I wish i could play this again. Was a great game. The campaign map was really cool and the in depth battles made you feel like a General.

While this game does fall short of it's potential, I did enjoy playing it. It's play style does take some getting used to, as you're frequently starting over from what feels like scratch. However, if you establish and maintain good supply lines while disrupting those of your foes then the odds of success will be in your favor even when they appear overwhelmingly against you. It does lack the Naval Warfare that was an integral part of the original board game and launching attacks from ships takes a certain amount of finesse. You're also stuck playing the faction you choose and can't play all the Allies or all the Axis factions. So, it's not top on my list of games I'd like to see added, but I do miss it from time to time. I really do need to fire up an old computer or two one of thses days. Unfortunately I only have the computers, not the monitors keyboards and mice.
Those games also need your vote!

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
