Not really sure what to say about this one, sense I never got the chance to finish it. The second disk stopped reading. And for whatever reason, what little I played didn't leave that big of an impression on me at the time.
I think by the time we reached the 2000's, games like these were staring to feel a bit uninspired. And I think you saw design elements here that qualify for that title. I recall there being this platform bridge that ran across this snowy mountain range that reminded me of a certain age in Myst III: Exile. (Either Voltaic of Amateria. I can't remember which.) In fact, it looked like a copy-paste of those design elements. So that was a check minus towards this game, for sure. But I still would like to go back to this game, just to form a better opinion of it, sense it is unfair to call this game mediocre and having only played half of it. Or less than half.
Oh! And one more thing. I believe this game is on Steam. And no. You cannot get it to work on modern hardware, because Nordic Games, the publisher that bought Dreamcatcher/The Adventure Company's IP years back doesn't care about making these games launch on modern hardware. Years back, there was a Humble Bundle for these old Dreamcatchers games, and not even THEN could I get them to work! Why have a Humble Bundle for games that aren't going to launch on my computer?! I guess that's why you have GOG around...
