Story:American Truck Simulator puts you in the seat of a driver for hire entering the local freight market, making you work your way up to become an owner-operator, and go on to create one of the largest transportation companies in the United States.
Driving the Peterbilt 389 Flattop and customizing it, and going from Cheyenne, Wyoming with a RGN Trailer loaded to Laredo, Texas. daylight driving thought the night to deliver the cargo.
The first video game I ever played was 18 Wheels of Steel: Hard Truck from SCS Software that I had picked up in the DVD section of OfficeDepo as a kid. I bought American Truck Simulator recently and it brought back memories of sitting in late night San Fransisco traffic in my big rig. I loved the scenery and also being able to play my own music on the in-game radio. I want this game on GOG because it's another fun game that I wish I could play without Steam.
Not to fully repeat what I've already said over in the ETS page... would just be very sweet to have this on GOG, someday.
Think american roadtrip, but driving some iconic, massive road beasts. Slow does it, no need to rush - the road is yours.
PLEASE preserve this game; if the nukes fall; we'll lose it to steam ( I bought a retail version at walmart, when it first came out) and now; i just changed my video card, and had to go to steam, and sign in, just so i could play the game again
