Amberstar was the very first RPG I ever played on any system.
I discovered it on a floppy disk that came with an Amiga magazine, not knowing how lucky I truly was. I ended up playing it for over a year — again and again, completely hooked. I was so obsessed that when the mouse port on my Amiga broke off the motherboard, I didn’t stop playing.
Instead of getting it repaired (I had no idea how or where to do that as a kid), I literally held the mouse connector against the sharp pins by hand — for hours — just to keep playing. My thumb was sore and raw, but Amberstar was worth every second.
An unforgettable experience — and still one of the most magical games I've ever touched and one of my all time favourites!
