This is the first game that I played well into the morning when I was very young. I remember using graph paper to map out the levels to find secret doors, figuring out secrets, and joining the different guilds to enjoy the different playstyles (although razer ice plus temporal fugue ended up being a go to pairing for me).
I hated encountering the devourer as it liked to eat my good stuff.
The music was good - seriously good! The songs were catchy and you could sing along to them.
I was about 15 when I got this for my C64, was the first floppy disc game I had. The game was huge, I loved mapping it out on paper, and trying to avoid the dreaded Devourer!. Single player game that felt like a mmo absolute adored it!!
I played this on the Atari ST. ST only had the city so I missed out on the rest. I still had fun hanging out by the tavern and tricking or charming ghosts and other nether beings who dropped jewelry and other stuff. Would love to see the whole game with ST or Amiga graphics.
