XIII

The first thing you see in the game it's its great comic-like art style. "TAP, TAP, TAP" of enemies' steps, "BANG" of exploding grenade, series of comic panels detailing headshots, comic-like cutscenes... All this keeps this released 20 years ago game from looking too much dated. Great music, too. And engrossing Bourne identity-esque story based on a great comic series XIII. The plot is fine but lacks many twists and turns from the original. The story in the game is much more straightforward. I also got mixed feelings about stealth sections. Sometimes they're frustrating due to lack of saves in any time, if you botch long sequence, but ultimately they aren't so bad.

Although the story and narrative seemed great and the gameplay was fun, the checkpoint system is terrible and little mistakes are paid restarting the whole level.

This version of the game really needs some love. The mouse is terrible and it could really do with some wide screen. You can play it but hasn't ageed too well. Story and art style is still really fun.

I began playing this game at an Internet Cafe out of curiosity and before I knew it found myself unable to play anything else until I finished it. The gameplay is surprisingly innovative and unique, plus who doesn't like a FPS with a grapple tool? The story kept me interested and the progression of weapons and abilities worked well. I don't recall any stand-out annoying features, but it's been a while. I had tons of fun playing this and I was pleasantly surprised to see it pop up on GoG. Definitely will be purchasing soon.

The story is actually very decent, the graphics for the time where just unheard of. I have so many fond memories playing this on Gamecube when I was younger, I still own the retail copy for PC and Xbox. Buy this game if you want a fun story driven FPS. I highly doubt you can still play multiplayer but if you can, it was a blast back in the day.
