Very meh

I got it on a sale(slayer edition for 50% off). Should have minded the other reviews. I give the second star because I like the franchise, and the artwork at least is done quite well, presentation is okay but pales in comparison to other even low production value titles like 'mechanicus' or 'gladius'. The rest is a bad D3 clone, a dumbed down arpg without much noticable gore and predefined characters. Maybe it gets better on higher difficulties and in the endgame, but I won't stomach ten hours of yawn to find out. Other games like it taught me that it just becomes a gear-hunt in the end. D3 at least compensates with a lot of updated content. I doubt that's the case here. Add one star if you have a bunch of friends to play it with, but even then there are much better alternatives, like a round of tabletop...

Buggy mess

Pros- Its pretty and its fairly accurate to the lore from around the time of 8th edition. Cons- its a buggy mess, your character can get stuck on a single blade of grass and then mobbed, controls work..some of the time. Worst of all its BORING, with the diablo series you at least felt the impact of upgrades, in this there is no difference between having an attack of 50 and attack of 5,000 that critter that took 3 hits back when you were level 1, still takes 3 hits 20 levels later.

Good Diablo Alternative

Its a great ARPG game. Looks good in 4k. Lots of loot. Interesting Character Builds possible with Skill-System, God-Tree and Legendary Rank System. Reminds of the good times in D3.

That's a little more than a gallon of gas, so why not Slice up some orks and spikey boyz in the Old World before GW dumped groundmarines over everything.

Dullhammer

This is an odd game. It's like a standard actionRPG like Diablo, but somehow it makes every aspect of it dull. There isn't really any story to talk about, the only interesting bit about it comes at the very end of the main campaign, but that's alright, it's not like this sort of games need elaborate stories. What matters is the action. And that's where it goes wrong. I don't know if I made the mistake of playing a possibly unbalanced DLC character, the dwarf engineer, but the game was extremely easy on the normal difficulty. As in, the enemies stopped doing damage to me in the second chapter of the game, out of four chapters. I know I can change difficulty and all, but you actually had to fight a bit in games like Torchlight and Diablo etc. on normal difficulty, at least in the last bossfight. Not in this game though. The game does more weird stuff. Like the gold drops and fragment drops. You get a lot of gold, but it's not for gear, it's for tickets to grind levels and endless mode, and that opens like halfway through the game. Same thing with the fragments that you use for upgrading items, an option that unlocks later. Basically the game is vague and weird with its mechanics, it's too easy for gear and skills to matter (yes, the character has a ton of skills, upgrade trees and whatever, but there isn't really any use for most of them on normal difficulty), and there isn't much of a story to it so even rushing through the dungeons is dull. But I guess if you're a warhammer superfan then you'll have more fun? I dunno
