Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition delivers image-based lighting and upgraded unit textures, enhancing the overall presentation. Improved world lighting, unit reflections, more detailed shadows, surface gloss, and emissive lighting make for a superior experience, while retaining the classic Dawn of War feel.
Additionally, all units in the game have received texture upscaling of at least four times their original resolution, making for more detailed units, and a more readable experience.
Now on a 64-bit platform to support the ongoing efforts of the modding community, the Definitive Edition also includes an integrated Mod Manager and is compatible with over 20 years of lovingly crafted Community Mods.

Four Full Campaigns

Richtig gut, bis auf ein Manko...
4/5: Ich liebe Warhammer 40k und RTS - also ist das ein nobrainer! Die Neuerungen passen, bis auf einige komische Entscheidungen (4k-Texturen auf polygonarmen Charakteren); aber ansonsten top an neue Systeme angepasst. Der fehlende Stern ist für ein RICHTIGES Remake :)

WH40k Rules
This game introduced me to Warhammer 40k and reminded my of Warhammer Fantasy. I love the lore of these settings and the Dawn of War games are phenomenal.

Improvement
Well, it's an improvement over the originals. I can't say they made anything WORSE. It's easier to run and plays better on modern machines. At time of writing, they've listed off a bunch of stuff they're planning to patch, so not sure why they didn't just do those things before they released it since most of them have been a bug for 20 years now. But, eh! It's still fun.
