Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate

First I got the game to work by installing the game ouside of the GOG game folder. Example: In my case I installed it in Program Files (x86) in the C drive. I can play past the first mission and the game as normal. I like the game it rewards you for using good movement and tactics. A disorganized army is a dead army. Managing your marines, leveling them up, and making sure they're equipped properly is critical to playing the game and could screw you over later down the line if progressed improperly. Issues come when trying to figure out who is who in your army. Everyone looks the same in there blue armor with little variations that it can take awhile to figure out who is who on the battlefield. This is where being able to recolor marines would be helpful or squad markings. Also this game needed to add a different enemy faction to the game for you to fight like Orks or Eldar because it does get repetitive, but this is the best Ultramarine game for the best Ultramarine experience.

One of my all time favourite games. Did a massive happy dance when I saw it on here. However I can not get it to work, I get 3 grainy images across the top of my screen during the intro sequences and then a black screen at the main title. I can however hear the music and sound effects... just cant see anything :(((

Zum Glück konnten wir schon damals als Ultramarines (nicht Grey Knights) gegen das Chaos ins Feld ziehen. Und das auch nach heutiger Sicht in sehr launigen Runden-Taktik-Kämpfen. Ja, die Grafik ist natürlich nicht mit dem 2022-Nachfolger zu vergleichen und auch die Steuerung und Spielmechaniken fühlen sich sehr viel komplizierter an. Aber dennoch bietet das Spiel eine Menge Spaß, angefangen bei den fordernden Missionen bis hin zum Anpassen der eigenen Einheiten. Auch wenn es mir für mein Nostalgie-Video wirklich Spaß gemacht hat, kehre ich dann aber doch lieber zu den Demonhunters zurück. Wer von W40k nicht genug bekommen kann, sollte ich diesen Klassiker aber unbedingt anschauen.

Just goes to show a great game nevers ages! Been having a good time playing this game, I can remember playing for the first time back in 1998 and it still stands tall in the face of other 40k games. Loved it than as well as now. Great Game! Best Regards
