Good idea, bad execution
First off: I bought the game based on the good reviews, but now I'm not sure they actually played the same game. Because this is yet another example of a good idea, badly implemented. The game tries hard to be artsy, but the mediocre graphics quality, low polygon count, and washed out textures make the graphical aspect fall through, and the text (while trying to be poetic) is way too sparse and ultimately too shallow to create an engaging narrative. Game mechanics: Standard walking speed is painfully slow, but jump speed is ridiculously high, so I ended up jumping literally all the time. "Combat" is tedious at best (point and click). The AI is very "simple". The concept of colors, while interesting at first, turns out to be a painful resource management scheme, that introduces tons of unnecessary, annoying backtracking. Characters? One word: cringeworthy! Female characters are the "sisters". Which are emo-damsels in distress, that are (literally) "dying" to have a "brother" in their (un-)life. AND all of them are nude for no apparent reason, with (badly drawn and sparsely animated) tits and butt, (barely) covered by luminescent sparkles. The (equally nude) male protagonist is supposed to fill the sisters' "hearts" with "color". Where "color" is a substance of milky consistence that painfully looks like something else entirely. Every "filling" is rewarded by alternating cut scenes, in which the damsel opens up a bit more to reveal increasing amounts of (relevant) skin. Bottom line: bad graphics, poor story, mediocre writing, horrible mechanics - and a painfully transparent attempt to make up for it with bare skin.
