False advertisement
It has nothing to do with the first Bloodlines, and the Masquerade is more of an inconvenience they remember sometimes to reference. That leaves vampires, and yes: There are at least vampires. The world looks nice, and the music is actually great. Traversal is fun. Every thing else...bland to awful. Combat and the story fall in the first category, NPCs and the "quests" in the latter. It's a linear spectacle brawler without the spectacle. The most game A Chinese Room ever made, and their worst writing.

Not worthy being called Bloodlines 2
I could list all the things that are wrong with this game but others wrote them and I'll just be repeating what they said. It's a punching game in a sandbox with 4 ability slots, no depth to it whatsoever. Basically if you download Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 1, Install an graphics mod you have a game 10 times better then this. Disappointing

Game doesn't even work
After verifying integrity of files, checking for updates, updating all my drivers and windows 11 itself, the game still does NOT work. The game will get as far as selecting New Game > Difficulty > Gender Selection. Upon selecting either gender the game immediately freezes permanently and you can only close it through Task Manager > End Process. I looked online for fixes couldn't find any, spent 2 hours searching for any fix at all to be honest, wasted time man. REFUNDED MY PC SPECS: - Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Z790 UD AC - CPU: Intel i7 12700KF - GPU: NVIDIA MSI 4070Ti Gaming X Trio - RAM: 64gb 6000mhz DDR5

Such a wait... for this
I'm deeply sorry. Even thought i was not expecting a real bloodline game anymore, i still wanted to give this game a chance. So i resigned myself to look at this game as just something within the world of darkness (which i love). And..... the game is unplayable. Just unplayable on azerty keyboard. The keybinding is buggy as f***k, the game didn't care what my bindings were and changed it randomly to the point i ended at some point with finding out that every move was set to Q.... still no idea how this happened. It took me several tries and reboot to finaly get to bind the mooving keys and start to play... only to realise a moment later that EVERY number key simply doesn't work ingame ....(even though they are default setting for ability use or item consumption) A few reboots laters and the number keys replaced awkarldy by the F* keys, i start to play again despite the layout being not very confortable. Next day comes, i want to continue my game..... to find out the keybinding has broken again and everything is back to random and doesn't work anymore.... Why not try to use a controler? I did, but my xbox controler, while working and the menus and the map.... doesn't allow me to move my character.... So i'm sorry but unless this is patch VERY quickly, i'll ask for a refund. Such a shame, there were plenty of things to take inspiration from in the first VtM Bloodlines, the bugs were not one of them, and it seems it is the only thing that remains. (Even thought it was very buggy when it released, VtM Bloodlines was at least playable). I'll go back on VtM Bloodlines, Swansong or the graphic novels, hoping that a patch allows me to change this review very soon.
