Dresden files reloaded

This is a very interesting game. First of all you create your own character's backstory and in time gather a team of individuals with different abilities, some can talk to the dead, others can read destroyed documents, others are well connected in police force etc. You can only have two people with you so it adds to the experience. There are many ways to solve mysteries, there are actual meaningful choices that impact the ending, characters are fantastic and very human with their struggles and personalities. Story It is a very good urban fantasy crime story. After a year of being possesed by a wicked spirit you are on a mission to found out what the hell happened during that year, what did this spirit do and what are his(her?it?) plans. During the game you partake in a series of investigations, you can usually chose where to go and who you are taking with you so it adds to the experience. (I finished this game three times, rare thing in a point&click adventure) Puzzles There are puzzles. Mostly to give you something to do so you will not feel like in telltale game where you are just watching a movie. Puzzles are well integrated and rather simple. Let me put it this way, if Syberia is 7 and Longest Journey is 5 than this game is 3 in terms of difficulty. It may sometimes give you a pause but there is nothing there that cannot be solved with a 10 minute "what would be the logical thing to do". Graphics Amazing, climactic, fantastic, just play it. Music I rarely consider buying a soundtrack from a game...I am seriously considering it now. Overall Let's be honest...point&click adventures got stale, don't get me wrong I love the genre but sometimes I feel like it is hard to add anything new or worthwile to it. Blade runner was one of the few adventures which would warrant multpile playthroughts, and here is the second one. It brings a lot of new ideas to the table and yet in terms of presentation and controls it feels comfortable and known. 10/10.

Highly Recommended - Story/Adventure

I recently discovered Wadjet Eye adventures. After playing "Gemini Rue" and "Technobabylo" I just finished "Unavowed". It's my favorit so far - actually it is a good story told in the form of an adventure game. The UI is very simple, walk / interact & look. There are almost no item combination riddles. Actually, I found most riddles to be rather easy and the game is more or less linear within the scenes. I didn't experience that as a disadvantage though as the riddles act for me more as a hook to be involved in the story. I enjoyed the dialogues in general and the voice acting particularly. While you cannot die in this game, you have to make some moral choices that will somewhat impact the ending. The story has a nice noire/gothic touch to it, a bit Lovecraft/Poe meets modern NYC and horrormovie-pop. If you like adventures, or if you like stories that are interactive, have a look at the game and try it. It's one of the most enjoyable games I played in recent years.

The setting drew me in

Interesting premise and story, interesting characters and sensible puzzles. I can't really fault the game besides being in a category that I, in a very subjective way, don't really care for that much. And the voice acting is sketchy at times, but that's a very minor nitpick. Not a very long game and has a few twists and turns, all in all quite good. If you love point and click, you'll be happy as a pig in mud.

Amazingly crafted and well executed.

I bought this on a whim at 5€ to play on my Steamdeck. Lately I have trouble focusing on longer or mor complex TV series or games but this got me. The game comes with a choice of multiple main protagonists. Cop. Actor. Bartender. And those backgrounds matter. You have different starting sequences and sequences in the later game depending on choice. That includes interactions with NPCs. I have rushed a second playthrough right after the first one and it is significantly different. You can bring two of four other characters with different skillsets. Each character offering a different solution approach to a puzzle. Which is also an incentive to do multiple playthroughs. The game is organized into episodes of decent length. You will want to interact with everything because there is a lot to discover. There is online solutions for the 3 annoying puzzles. You will get hints from your companions if you ask them and two come from me. US Americans have a daft date format. Keycode is MMDD. And legs means Sphinx riddle. The writing is good. You could turn this into an enjoyable Netflix series ca 2014. Grimdarkness is close to Penny Dreadful. You can make choices. The choices will have an impact on the last sequence. Like, meeting vengeful ghosts of the slain. And who will be available to help you overcome the final obstacles. There also is an ending narrative like in the first and only Fallout games. Voice acting is superb. They even got Logan Cunningham of Supergiant Games fame. The graphics are fantastic. You always know what you are looking at. Even on a Steamdeck screen. And descriptions are available on mouseover. Installation via Heroic was trivial. The game is easily worth 15 Euro. It currently is on offer for 5 Euro.

Pretty good adventure Game

Pretty good game, story is pretty good, the art is very well done imo every location is very well detailed making walking through the same areas nicer, I clocked in around 11 hrs and I never felt like the solution to the puzzles where no something you can logically work out. I like most of the characters although there was some cringey lines sometimes I think overall they're ok. I'd say get this if you're a fan of fun adventure games or like the magic/fantasy aspect of it.
