Great old style gameplay game
this game is a great mix of old and new gameplay, it combines the gameplay of new games and the need of Pen and Paper to solve puzzles and the willingness to actually solve them to reach the true ending.

Fun game with steep learning curve
There's a lot of exploring and monster fighting to get to loot, but the game doesn't tell you anything, you need to complete your own manual, reminds me of "Hobb" and "Bastion"

Challenging but not too difficult
I used to play video games as a kid back in the early 2000s, but then I stopped playing. For two whole decades I didn't touch video games. Two months ago I started playing again, and Tunic is now the second game I've played as an adult. I had heard rumors about Tunic being super hard, unfair even, and similar to Dark Souls (which I know by reputation), so I was hesitant to pick it up. And in the very beginning, yes, the game did feel hard. It never felt unfair, however. And now that I have played for 10 hours, the combat system has "clicked" for me. The game doesn't feel hard anymore, it feels challenging in just the right way. And this is coming from a guy who started playing video games just two months ago after a 20 year break.
