Childhood game revisted and enjoyed

I have to say this game is far above average real-time-strategy that is set in a fantasy world. The graphics are nothing fancy but are 3D and have certain appeal to them however that could just be nostalgia. There are several races to play as in this game each with its own unique abilities and strategies. Unfortunately there is only a single campaign or tow if you include the expansion but you play as all the races in this however it takes away the feeling of being a general on one side because you keep changing and may fight for one side then fight against it in the next level. The AI is outdated in this game which makes it hard to do certain types of attacks without losing a few pointless casualties. There are other bugs there are no game braking ones fortunately. There is a good skirmish mode letting you fight on a huge list of maps some of which are very interesting.

Amazing video game for its time.

I remember buying this when I was a kid. It utilized a renewable resource system so depletion is non-existant, good for people who like consistent real time strategy games making versatile compared to modern RTS games which are usually fast paced. TAK can go either way, fast and furious battles to long battles for those just seeking to goof around. For an early game it had amazing physics systems and despite certain bugs and glitches among map templates and units, it was a well crafted game. It even comes with a cartographer map editor to make your own maps. I recommend any die hard to curious RTS gamers who have an extra six bucks to give it a shot.

Raven XII still reigns undefeated. I dare any of you fools to challenge me to a 1v1 sewers game. Bwahahaha! No, seriously though, this game was so much fun back in the day. I wish the community was still around, the best RTS days of my life.

Awesome game!

Probably one of the best RTS games ever developed. Taros was just so fun to play! just as the other 'races' Also, the change of appearance when units became bronze/iron/golden is super awesome. Anyone remember the gold abyssal demon for example? ;) Golden weapons/Spikes on the armor and such. Lastly, this game actually has a challenging campaign. Really missing this game, goes in my RTS top 5 for sure!!

Love It

Balanced races and i've played it since childhood. Would love to see a re-vamp and money well spent. Walls, gates, loads of different units and can recruit loads of them. Epic all round
