Not what I was hoping for
This is a game I'd heard about, but never played, back in the days when it was released, so when I saw it on GOG, I thought I'd give it a shot, based solely on the talents involved. At first, I was impressed - great vocal talents, wonderful actors, good production quality (for the age), and some excellent experimental steps with the FMV. And, like most LucasArts games of that era, it walked that line between "good clean fun" and "yeah, your kids really shouldn't play this." The puzzles were mostly well-thought out, though there are often moments of "just try everything in your inventory until something works." It's the second act, however, where the game loses its luster. The entire act felt rushed, poorly written and scripted, and even had full-on bugs that were never corrected (just walked around). Even the artwork and acting seemed of a significantly lower quality (which is truly sad, as that's where most of Tim Curry's lines appear). Although I was entertained for most of the game, I still couldn't justify giving it a higher rating, simply because something that invested that much into the talent should have produced a far more satisfying ending.
Hilft dir das weiter?
