A titan within gaming.
I rarely write reviews for games that I play. Sure, sometimes I enjoy games that serves no other purpose than to pass time. They can be great in their own way, but that's it. Though somewhere along the way gems like this pop up. I never completed W3 when it was first released. It was simply too much content for me to digest. I tried discovering every site on the map to the point I was too exhausted to complete the game. Little did I know I played the game completely wrong. It wasn't until a year later I picked it up right where I left off at Skellige, but this time it was going to be different. I raced through the story and I started getting the hang of it. Unfortunately, the break from W3 made the story feel fragmented, but with the help of great youtubers the story felt right at home again. I quickly realised that the actions I did throughout the game had impact on the endgame, even the small things. That's something I've missed from games lately, but CDPR executed this right on the mark. Fast forward to late 2016, two DLCs were in order. Although Heart of Stone had a lull halfway in the story, both felt complete and not tacked on. But let it be said: Blood and Wine is where it is at. I'd pay full price ($60) for that particular DLC alone, but don't say that out loud to other developers. Blood and Wine was the perfect DLC to round off my overall experience of Witcher 3 which in my mind stands to be the best game I've ever played. Mark my words, developers: The gold standard of games has been set.

Congratulations to you all on this amazing game. I have just finished the vanilla + expansions in about 430 hours, doing every single quest and enjoying every single moment. A true masterpiece.

This is one of the best games that I ever play. 10/10 And the DLCs are AWESOME! perhaps even better than the base game itself. Totally recommended
