Pussy Witcher?
Didn`t expect to give this game such a low rating. Considering the raving and someone even said it was as good as Morrowind, I never got that vibe from this game at all. In fact I got really bored. Morrowind never bored me this early on. Now I played the Witcher 1 2 and thought they were great, but here there is something wrong with him. It`s like he`s become a pussy. He seems to be just riding around for the sake of women all the time. Let me explain, at the start of the game he`s seeking a woman, ok, fine. Not sure why... is it for love? He finds her. Oh now he`s got to find Ciri who might be in trouble- Do I have a choice to say yes or no? Nope, I just have to agree. She`s uber super good which is like in every tired feminist movie we see today. Also I don`t want to play as uber Ciri, I bought the game to play as the WITCHER, Geralt. Why does he even have to rescue her if she`s this good? But he crawls after her anyway. So I wander about the nice countryside in forced 3rd person doing some sidequests (some are interesting, most not). Bump into a guy where another woman needs help and had a baby that was aborted... sigh.. In the Witcher 1 and 2, Geralt was HIS OWN MAN. Sure he sought women but for a very simple reason, to have his way with them! ;) Sometimes to help them, of course. But now he`s a wimpy mangina chasing women around like a love sick dolt. Heck, you don`t even see any female nudity like in the previous games (well I saw a bit of a bum). The women are patronising to him, talking to him like they own him and he won`t even lip back. I stopped playing out of boredom and a lack of feeling like I was playing the REAL Witcher and went back to Dragon Age where I felt more like a Man in a real adventure where I`m not chasing women forlornly everywhere. Graphics are admittedly, amazing. It`s not enough. Maybe it`ll get better later when I can be arsed to go back- If ever. Disappointing. I`m sure I`ll be called a sexist and all that- Don`t care.

Lacks heavily in the gameplay department
The games value lies mostly in story, graphics and cutscenes. If you mostly look for good gameplay in games, this will probably look mediocre at best. Combat is really dull and lacks any interesting features. Leveling/progression consists mostly of boring number and percentage increases. There are the alchemy and crafting features, but that's also nothing to write home about. Even the gaming world isn't that interesting, feels like an MMORPG game most of the time - non-enterable buildings, NPCs that repeat the same line and are copied all over place. I can see the appeal of it's story, but that doesn't save the rest for me, not at all. From the point of someone who is into gaming because of gameplay, this looks like one of the most overhyped titles I've ever played.

Just Too Much
This plays a lot like its predecessor with a few tweaks to the combat, which is still just enough to get the job done; drawing your sword certainly works a lot better. It is also nice to do some more monster hunting than usual, too; the story focuses a bit less on politics and more on finding someone who's gone missing. That's actually not quite right; the politics are about the same, but SO MUCH MORE monster hunting has been piled on top of that. The maps are absolutely enormous, and the content goes on for DAYS. Some of you might be salivating right now, but it was just too much; instead of having a more focused experience, like in its predecessor, it just aims to have as much content as possible. If I were really invested in that content, that'd be great, but as with the first game, I usually didn't care much about what I was doing. The writing hasn't improved all that much; it's the third game in the series, and I still don't care all that much about the protagonist or any of his friends. Again, it wasn't bad; there's just too much here for what I'm getting out of it; tons of quantity with just decent quality. A little over 50 hours in, I just decided it wasn't really worth it. I did really like the visual design of the world - it was like something right out of my childhood nightmares; absolutely stunning - but that on its own wasn't enough to keep me going as long as I'd need to to finish it.
