The Game Is Great, but Next Gen Sucks!

I played this game in the past with the same computer I had previously, and I never had any problems, the game is incredible. However, with this "new generation" patch this game is buggier than ever! It never crashed in the old version, but in this one, it crashes every day during loading! Extremely sad, because I wanted to play the new missions, but they are making my task very difficult!

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update needs work

I purchased a new PC to play the "next-gen" version but unfortunately the game is unplayable as of now (ver. 4.02). Running the game in 1440p (DLSS ultra performance) with RT enabled initially gives me about 30-40 fps. The game looks fantastisc but with continuos playtime of 10 to 20 minutes the framerate goes down to 20 and even 10 fps in some areas, which renders the game unplayable for me. Also I experienced stutter, audio sync problems and low CPU utilization of 10 to 20% on my my i7-12700F, which doesn't seem right. I followed the tech-support's troubleshoting guide but I couldn't solve the issues. Looks like this "next-gen" is only meant for the latest gen of high-end Nvidia graphic cards costing $900 upwards. Hopefully the devs will further improve the performance with Raytracing on mid-range GPUs like the RTX 3070. If so I will update this review to 5 stars.

Next Gen Update still busted as of 4.02

Shadows flicker randomly and half the time I try to load a saved game, the frame rate drops by 50% or more and I have to restart the whole game to fix it. Raytracing effects have an insanely heavy effect on performance, but I wouldn't mind quite as much if I could actually play the game.
