The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

Every Witcher game I ever played (the original, Witcher 2, and Witcher 3) has been my favorite and most cherished times I spent on the pc. The Witcher 1 was the game that literally fixed my grades in elementary school as it got me into History a lot better than any school ever could. As I followed and played through every release I realised this game series is keeping itself fresh, always changing the visuals and system up a bit for the better. I can enjoy each for their differences and individual storylines that all added to the overall experience. Upon my first encounter I recieved this as a game that dares and does a good job on being realistic. The humour, the absurdness, the mythology coming to life, the fights and battles in a new relaxing yet frightening and explorable world all gave a wonderful adventure. The people responsible for the visuals, the animations, modells, as well as everyone else working hard on these games to become a reality, all inspire me to make good 3D rpgs, and only make me wish I could one day work for CD Projekt Red. It was really a company I looked up to, and looked at them as friends, ever since I was 6 years old. Love, and best wishes for Witcher 4, from Hungary.

I can only repeat what countless others have already ventured to say. This game is the cream of the crop when it comes to gaming. An RPG, Masterclassed to perfection. Few games are as gripping, driven by narrative or dare to be so bold. The artwork phenomenal. Each area breathtakingly unique, and so very beautifully set against sunset, against hardship. Each moment a memory, each decision calculatingly met, every outcome painstakingly felt. The fight may make Geralt sweat, but twas your fingers that bled red. Visually enticing, morally defining and simply a pleasure to play. I`ve finished the game twice, although I know of some who have thrice, and would continue to do so. I simply wish there was more... I haven`t paid for any other DLC's in gaming, but here I would gladly pay more for additional content like Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Kudo's to CDPR. I will surely be playing cyperpunk.

Having played most of The Witcher 3 in it's original release, i unfortunately lost my save files due to harddrive errors. I have come back this year to finally complete the title. So it has been done and a rollercoaster of emotions have been sent upon me, so much so that i can't continue onwards with the DLC content this version offers. My arrogance didn't have me thinking of the consequenses i would stand with at the end of the game. which means i had maybe the worst ending of all. it left me in a sorrowed state the game had affected me all the way through the investment in characters, cities and general tourmoil that happened. I mainly like the game for it's Narrative and very perfect story. As well as it's very nice combat along with smaller features i will mention. The game is very good but it has some issues that i like to address as well. Pros: - Perfect story. it's not set in stone you tell the tale and you decide the outcome (unknowingly) - The narrator to the game in loading screens are perfect as well as the summaries Geralt makes at the end of an act. - The fighting is smooth and isn't holding you back. - Lots of different enemies, meaning lots of different tactics and fighting styles. - The music in the game is perfect fits very well to the age it is set in also the situations that the player comes across. - The artstyle is very good i actually really love it and it is something many medieval games bore me with. Cons: - Sudden bugs. after long sessions of playing in a row it sometimes bugs the game having to restart the game or load a save file. (bugs were ussually something like not being able to go into combat or not being able to use "E" to interact) - Voice acting is okay but i will say many times it feels subpar, this is not just secondary characters, but at times Geralt as well. - The number system (Example sword damage starting sword does like 50 dmg and ending swords do 400+ dmg) don't always like that system feels like it takes too much space in the game. - Level requirements is a drag don't enjoy them. - Some RPG is left out since your character already exist and you did not make him and he has the Witcher (curse) meaning no emotions, hard to roleplay at times and can get boring) Summary The Witcher 3 is a near perfect game i enjoyed it, it left an emotional scar on me felt great most of the time it gave me much joy and it saddened me at times. 9/10 not perfect but damn near it!

I'm not going to complain about the controls, the installer, the bugs or anything like that. Besides a few minor issues, I found The Witcher 3 to be a perfectly serviceable, relatively bug free experience. The game gets three stars for its phenomenal production values. The music, voice acting, facial animations, architecture, costume design and for the most part, the writing are all hugely impressive for a game of this size. There were moments I felt like I was playing a focused, "cinematic" game like The Last of Us, which is very impressive for an open world RPG with potentially hundreds of hours of play time. I can't justify giving this game a higher score however because the core gameplay is severely lacking. The combat "works" and is quite intuitive but it's neither realistic nor fantastic. What I mean by that is that it's very weightless and unsatisfying, but at the same time it's also very simplistic and doesn't leave a lot of room for creativity. As powerful as Geralt is, he's still just a man who fights with two handed swords and has a small arsenal of not-particularly impressive spells, and yet he still dances about and auto-aims like this is a game with flashy combos and interesting combat (which is doesn't have). The identity crisis here is jarring. The open world is a terrible case of quantity over quality. It doesn't feel deliberately designed nor worth exploring for any reason other than to find more heavily scripted quests. As for the quest design, if you end up buying or replaying the game, really carefully observe just what it is that you as the player are asked to do. Yes, the quests are wonderfully contextualized with great voice acting and writing, but outside of dialogue choices, do you really have much agency? Are you playing the game or is the game playing itself for you? Do you ever have to *think*? Visually and aurally, this is a beautiful game. In terms of gameplay, it needs to be more heavily critiqued.
