nice game but...

Can't launch the game just because errors in two scipts,i had to fix this myself,it's quite disappointed.

top Gameplay and Dialogs

The first Witcher game with a good Gamepad controlling. The german dialogs have a high quality of cinematic movies. But again, when you come from the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt first also The Witcher 2 is maybe not the right game for you. Some gameplay mechanics like the fighting style, item management etc. are very different so that it seems only The Wichter 3 is the final version of perfect gameplay. I would love it more to play when it don't crash so much. You have to save much, cause there are too many situations were you play, bing... game closed and back on desktop.... very unstable. I play with windows 10. The Wichter 3 I can play as long as I want and my graficcard is stil quiet, but with The Witcher 2 my graficcard starts to get very loud. Thats why I stay on Witcher 3 and I hope for the Future on games like Wichter 4 or Thronebreaker 2 maybe.

Get the FCR2 mod

1/5 combat 4/5 everything else Get the FCR2 mod or dont bother. Vanilla game is just awful gameplaywise.

I simply love this game. But.

I simply love this game and have played it so much, again and again. Loved the boss battles, the story, the action, the tonics and potions aspect. Everything. However on a technical level the game feels old. The Witcher's body textures seemed bland, the sound can't be switched, Alt-Tab is not functioning properly, it doesn't work correctly with my QWERTZ keyboard even though I selected it in the settings... please update the game and make it work properly in Windows 10 and hardware with volume switches like Asus ROG laptops and others.

An incredible world

A chief quality of Witcher 2 is its ability to communicate the nature of its setting so effectively; it's essentially similar in tone to Grimm's but with a couple more ounces of realism. What make the journey into W2 worthwhile are its characters; all deeply-nuanced and incredibly memorable. The Souls-style combat comes as more clunky than homage, but is suitable enough to entertain for the length of the game. Don't forget your potions!
