Well....
I may come over as a jerk. I like to enhance my education in terms of popculture every now and then, also with titles that aren't usually my focus interests. So, The Witcher is a series, that I will definitely play through, minimum base game, for that matter. I was also told to do so by friends. They thought, because I am huge fangirl of elder scrolls series, I must like it. But whatever the times were in 2007, the game didnt age well. I mean that strictly regarding the strong flirt simulator direction and the intercourses suggested. To me it is very immersion breaking. His flirt lines are also...ew awkward. It reminds me a bit of the Friends series. They aged terribly in terms of conversation and humor. So, there are a couple of things, which just wont suit my personal interests: * I play a cheesy guy with lousy flirtlines who likes to hold pathetic, moral speeches - personally I'd prefer any game in which I am "me" or to say it better: an avatar of me creating my story * I really dislike on the fact, that a lot of NPC are "same" models and generic names. Comparing it with Morrowind or Obvlivion and more free world RPG: those went the extra mile of creating unique character models and names, and even the random trashmob NPC spawns were RNG generated models, unique. The Witcher has been created in a time where this was possible already. * I dislike the fact, that my range of exploring the world is limited and everything is so linear .... * The combat system is clumpy, slow and unintuitive compared to games of that time, it's really hard for me to adapt, and the standard keyboard location of skills is really not intuitive. I hope it's going to get better....
