The Temple of Elemental Evil

I bought this game when it came out. The bugs were so bad it wouldn't even start up. A patch was eventually released so we could actually get into the game - and man it just wasn't worth it. There's actually a good ruleset in here, but it's choked by breaking gameplay bugs and a terrible interface. Considering this came out ages after Baldur's Gate et al it is shocking just how far away it is in terms of polish. Avoid unless you are a D&D completest.

But however hard i tried i couldnt make it run on my system. :---(

As far as Obsidian titles go this one is not the cream of the crop, but it's definitely playable and the combat is reasonably fun.

It won't install properly seems to be a lot of people having this problem. I sent a message to support, but they won't answer me. I would wait on this one till they fix it.

I tried to like this game, but it's definitely not a Bladur's Gate or Icewind Dale. The primary issue is that the game uses its own version of the 3.5 rules that make no sense. I've come across bugbears with greatswords that get automatic attacks of opportunity, even if you're already in melee and attempt to hit them. Click on attack, and you just might get hit with a 40 point critical hit, even if they just attacked you the previous segment. Second issue: pathing. The pathing in this game can be horrible; sometimes only part of the party will find their way down to where you clicked. Other times, and this is evident in most of the games of this style, they'll take a very long way around to get where you want them to. All in all, an interesting attempt but, after many hours of game play, I think it just isn't worth it.
