Great remake
Played the original over 2 decades ago. The art and voice acting are top notch, and the game looks like I thought it did way back then. I can't wait for my kid to experience this for the first time in the next 2 years, the same way my dad frustratingly did to me.

Fantastic Classic
20 years ago I was introduced to this game. Finally started playing it. As a fan of old school adventure RPGs, this one hits all the right notes.

Point and click masterpiece
The Secret of Monkey Island has been a reference for adventure point and click games. I enjoyed playing the original game in the early 90s when I was a chlid and I still do enjoy with it. Good puzzles, great humor, original trials to be a pirate, a George Lucas cameo (find him!), entertaining characters and loads of grog!

Use the Ultimate Talkie version
The remake is bad, but it does include new voice acting, which is great, but can't be used with the classic version. However, this is easily fixed by installing the Ultimate Talkie version (http://gratissaugen.de/ultimatetalkies/monkey1.html). You can download ScummVM at https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/. Just make sure to enable both the speech and subtitles in ScummVM and press F5 to load, save and quit the game.
