Advice for Linux users only
Beware, in "Penumbra - Black Plague", the section Dreamland "It is hot here...", because it's crasching, under Wine. Resolved, with Virtual Machine, go on the story, copy saves in Linux and continue.

From the developers of Amnesia and SOMA
This series is the first games of Frictional Games and they are the best. Much better then Amnesia or SOMA. Penumbra: Black Plague - this one is real treasure. It has great improvements compare to it's predecessor Penumbra: Overture. (Gameplay is similar to Amnesia). If U like horror games - This package is highly recomended.

Wonderful and exciting!
A game that has it all, a great story and wonderful gameplay. If you have ever played amnesia, these games are very similar to it. Lots of scares and is really my cup of tea! It's my favorite game trilogy! I really recommend it to anyone who is thinking of getting it!

Not that bad but frustrating at times
I must have bought it few years back and only got to play it at the end of 2021 (literarily). The graphics is dated but what did you expect? For its time it's quite decent. The idea and story is pretty ok but there are some things that spoil the fun. The first game... well, it didn't pull me in. Played it for an hour or so and got discouraged. The second one went much better and I'm somewhere near the finish. Don't believe the "ability to manipulate everything" and so on. You can move some objects, open drawers and that's pretty much it. The rest are only story items. And this "natural gestures" thingy is more annoying than "immersive". Maybe if it was done with VR controllers... but it uses mouse. Sorry, having to draw circles to open valve is simply frustrating. The game (at least the Black Plague, but Overture at the beginning also seemed that way) is fairly linear. And some puzzles are a bit pixel-hunty. After all, if you liked Amnesia, you might like the Penumbras (if you can stand dated graphics) although the game seems to can't make up its mind about what it want to be - a puzzle game or a survival horror.

Penumbra is brillant!
1. Penumbra Overture, is the first game in the fantastic Penumbra series. It takes place in an underground facility and you and a mysterious man named Red are the only ones alive in the place. The only other things alive are rotting-zombie-like dogs and creepy little spiders. This game only had one thing that bothered me through out the game and that was the combat. The combat is very clunky and hard to get used to. Other than that it's a great game. 4/5 stars. 2. Penumbra Black Plague, is the second and best game in the Penumbra series. This game is a masterpiece. This game is much more terrifying than the first game. Infected now patrol the corridors of the facility. There is a great twist later on in the game that I won't spoil but it's great and quite shocking. If you didn't like the combat in Overture than you'll be happy to know that the combat is absent in Black Plague. It is possible to kill the infected (throw objects at them a bunch of times) but I don't recommend doing it unless you want to test it out but other than that, don't do it because it will make the game easier. Overall, it is the scariest Penumbra game. 5/5 stars. 3. Penumbra Requiem, is the third and most different in the Penumbra series. It is like Penumbra meets Portal. Solve puzzles to advance. It still maintains the creepy atmosphere of the first two games. It's a cool expansion and fitting end to the Penumbra series. 3/5 stars. Penumbra is one of my favorite video game series of all time. Black Plague is definitely in my top 10 video games of all time. If you like to have fun all while being scared, solving puzzles, and exploring then the Penumbra Collection is perfect for you. I highly recommend these game.
