THERE IS A PROGRAM CALLED JOYTOKEY. ITS FREE AND LETS YOU REMAP KEYBOARD KEYS TO GAMEPADS USB AND SERIAL PORT. YOU MIGHT HAVE TO USE THIS TO REMAP BUTTONS TO GAMEPAD.

Amazingly wrong
It wouldn't have taken very much to get a good review from me on this but unfortunately I can't do it. As everyone else has pointed out, this is a zero-effort port that shows no understanding of why people play fighting games. Whoever worked on this would have been better off doing nothing at all because all they did was expose their laziness and incompetence. What should be a simple plug and play experience required Joy2Key to map controls for gamepad and even THEN they were incorrect because the keyboard controls listed in the "options" menu (which offers nothing in the way of actual options) are incorrect. I might have been able to get it to work with some trial and error but gave up once I read that local multiplayer with 2 controllers is not possible. So even for free, this port is a complete waste of everyone's time and hard drive space. The one silver lining is I now know to avoid all ports and products by this developer (DotEmu).

Game speed is jacked
Got the game and was excited to play it, but the game speed is list 3x what the normal game speed should be, so it makes it completely unplayable. Unlike other people though, I could get my DS4 controller to work for it without any issues.

Great game, unplayable controls
I cannot understand why they used a different emulator like in Shock Troopers or one of the other (25th anniversary) SNK arcade games (in addition i own Baseball Stars, Twinkle Star Sprites and Blazing Star)! You cannot change controls or use a arcade stick. So that makes this release more or less unplayable. But as a workaround you can get MAME, maybe find a Neogeo-BIOS and run the game itself (kof2002.zip) with the better but more complicated emulator.

Yah still bad
Just read everyone else and keep in mind the complaints apply to Samurai Showdown 2, 5, King of the Monsters, Fatal fury special and King of Fighters 2000.
