Controls are awful
While the original game is intact and totally playable, the controls make it hell to try. You cannot remap controls. The generic PC controls are very unintuitive. If there IS controller support then I wasn't able to try because it doesn't seem to support the controllers I have. I got the game for free and still consider uninstalling it. You should not buy this game.

Unplayable
Ported straight out of the arcade version, with a nice menu in place of the Neo Geo configuration screen. That aside, there's no way to configure window scaling, just windowed of fullscreen mode (really a straight port) and not reconfigurable/rebindable inputs (for a PC port this turns the game into a showcase only, since no fighting game player uses the lft hand for attacks and the right hand vor movement). The uneasiness and discomfort to play it in a minimal scenario (PC with a keyboard) earns it the star loss, making this port worth 1 star.

Impossible to map controls
Great game that is plagued by the inability to map your controls to a pc controller. You won't be able to perform special moves which renders this game useless. DO NOT BUY!!!

The King deserves better ports.
KOF 2002 is a wondrous game. Its art stand even after all this years and its game play remains as best of its class. As always with the series, KOF 2002 features a three members party style of fight with lots of moves and good degree of tactics. Given the game by itself a five start review is deserved. However, this version of the game is almost unplayable. At least for me, on my system, the game is extremely slow. Too slow. Slower than slow. Probably buggy and definitively not a must-have-experience. You do well letting it pass.
