Drehe deine eigenen Filme, indem du Themen, Genres und die Altersfreigabe bestimmst. Schreibe ein Drehbuch, caste deine Lieblingsstars und entscheide, wie du dein Budget verteilst, um deinen Film glänzen zu lassen. Jede Entscheidung zählt für den Erfolg deines Films bei den Kritikern und an den Kinokassen.
Ist dein Film fertig, musst du dir Gedanken über den Verleih machen. Übernimm alles selbst, suche dir einen Partner oder verkaufe die Rechte an den Meistbietenden. Jede Option birgt Vorteile und Risiken. Triff also basierend auf deinen Finanzen und deiner Beliebtheit eine kluge Entscheidung. Behalte außerdem die Konkurrenz im Auge und wähle ein optimales Erscheinungsdatum.
Je mehr Geld du hast und je beliebter du bist, desto mehr kannst du in ein Topteam und beliebte Schauspieler investieren. Ziehe in ein größeres Büro, stelle talentierte Mitarbeiter ein, bilde sie aus und erforsche neue Möglichkeiten.
In The Executive bestimmst du deinen Weg selbst. Egal, ob du Arthouse-Filme drehen und Auszeichnungen horten oder dich auf Blockbuster und die Erweiterung deiner Gesellschaft zu einem Major Studio konzentrieren möchtest ... du hast die Wahl.

Lots of fun!
A bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get it, there is a ton of fun here. Not a 1,000 hour game, but this is an amazing rainy weekend game. It could keep you going for a couple weeks, too.

Follow The Rules
Want to make a PG-rated Sci-Fi-Romance with a Business theme? Well don't, because you'll go bust. Most of your movies will make a profit, but probably not enough to also cover your office and staff overheads, so your company slowly grinds its way down to bankruptcy. Some of your movies will bomb, adding an exciting plunge to the bottom (and game-over). Want to make a PG-13 Comedy-Musical Coming of Age story? Great, hire the most popular director and lead actor you can afford (and that fits the script), spend your production budget in the ratio 50-30-15 (IYKYK), and post-production 10-35-45. Release it for Valentine's, as a Summer movie, or when there's a festival. You'll make millions. The reason I know that is because the online calculator (calcmovietycoon) tells me so. If you want to make money, you need to follow the rules. Hire additional producers and grind out by-the-calculator 'movies' - which are only distinguished by their title as far as you're concerned - as fast as your sales/marketing people can shift them. On the other hand, if you want to be a bit creative or avant-garde, well, perhaps you can give them funny titles. >> TL;DR It's 'ok' but just grind. If you get the calculator the game is a grind with little or no decision-making (you should get the calculator). If you don't get the calculator the game is a grind until you go bust.
